I just bought a computer

Last Wednesday Apple released Boot Camp a product that allows you to dual boot an Intel based Macintosh into Windows XP. This is a great option for me because I have a lot of Windows software and video games. Now I can have one computer that I can use in both Operating Systems.

Last night I bought a 20" iMac. It has a 2.0 Core Duo processor, 1 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard drive, ATI Radeon X1600 256MB GDDR3 SDRAM video card. This should be a nice Machine. Most of the time my family and I will use OS X. I plan to use Windows to play some video games. That's why I upgraded the video card. My new computer should ship on Tuesday, and arrive on Thursday.

My 12" powerbook has been a great machine, and I'll continue to keep using it as my primary computer. This iMac will replace my AMD machine that I got for Christmas in 2001. It will be the primary computer for the wife and kids. I'll use it when I don't feel like taking out the laptop, or when I want to play games to edit video, and for things I don't even know about yet. I can't wait!
