Bellsouth just cut our hardline

When I called bellsouth after we lost phone service at ISI, the lady we real short with me because of my lousy cell phone. When she complained about not being able to hear me very well I said, "we'll if you guys didn't cut my hard line we wouldn't have this problem." No, I didn't really say that. But I thought it, and then I laughed.

I'm stay way too busy with work and school lately. I'm thinking about take off with Michele this weekend. I have this Friday off from work. I dunno.

OS X 10.3 is everything I though it could be

I'm really glad I upgraded. The new Finder is very handy. My kids love the new expose window management interface.

I'm impressed with security features like SECURE DELETE. Which overwrites the harddrive 7 times when I delete. FILEVAULT encrypts my homedir. I don't really think I'll need that, but its nice to know its there.

My copy of MAC OS X 10.3 Just Shipped

My copy of MAC OS X 10.3 just shipped. I'm looking forward to installing in on my new 12" powerbook this weekend.

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Work and school, have been insane lately.

I just got through midterms at FSU, so I can relax a little bit. Now if I could just take care of these personnel issues at work, I can start dreaming in color again.

More Adventures in Mac OS X

I'm still loving this new powerbook. Today I found that I can run my entire statewide network from my powerbook. VNC, Microsoft Remote Desktop,Net Stumbler and SSH run flowlessly on the mac.

My web development tools run great too. Apps like Macromedia Studio MX, Adobe Photo Shop 7, and Mozilla are solid. It's offical, I'm a switcher. I made this photo album for my friends website.

I just got one of the new twenties. It looks more European than American with the multiple colors and large face.

Steve: "No ... Do you think it noticed?"

Rowdy

In the lower right corner you'll see Rowdy, the dog that terrorized my family for 2 days. This is one of those times where I tried to do somebody a favor, and it bit me in the hand. It only took one hour of living with Steve for Rowdy to become pure evil. Joel won't let me forget it.

I'm glad my life provides countless hours of comic entertainment for Joel.

Satuarday Morning: Drill Weekend

I read and signed an AFI! I also fixed an ASP page for plans. How much better can my life get? I didn't ride my bike in this morning, because I thought I was going to go in front of a promotion board this morning. Looks like its going to happen on Sunday at 1030.

I'm not sure if I'm going to get this promotion, but it’s nice to have the opportunity to go in front of the board. I became eligible for promotion on 15 September 2003. They could have held this promotion board last month, and I would have missed it. We'll see.

Powerbook update: it just arrived the fed ex ramp in Jacksonville, FL.

Friday off!

DSC00814.JPG
Today was my down Friday from ISI. I got up early this morning and rode my bike. I love this time of year!
Powerbook update: it just left MEMPHIS TN
I finally beat John Trower in SOF2 last night. The games are getting pretty competitive! I find I can stay in the game if I engage John from about 200 meters with my M4 rifle. If I let him get in range with the M1 grenade launcher, I’m dead. We need to get another player. John and I have been playing for several months, and we know each other’s tricks. I'm trying to get Mitch in the game, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon.
