More news from Valencia

Pier-Francesco Chili is expected to appear to test ride a Ten Kate Honda, and team boss of the Klaffi team, Klaus Klaffenbock, was waiting news on whether or not he would have sufficient sponsorship to run a two-man Honda team. Honda sources suggest he is out anyway, but he claims to have until early December to decide – sponsorship allowing.

Rumours from Italy suggest that Ben Bostrom and Chili will form the much vaunted, but frequently denied, Gresini Honda dream team, with support from Honda Italy.

Where will Chili be in 2005?

I just found out the Chili will not be riding with the PSG-1 team in 2005. In fact Chili is currently unsigned.

Rumor has it that Chili wants to ride a Honda Fireblade in '05. I'm a big fan of the Fireblade, and Chili. I hope we are able to see him next year.

World Superbike Tests

Top level Superbike machinery from no less than six different manufacturers were present at the first official Pirelli tire tests of the off-season, scheduled to take place over three days, from 16 to 18 November.

Ducati, Petronas, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha were all in attendance.

Karl Muggeridge and team-mate Chris Vermeulen represented Ten Kate Honda on the 1000RR.

The PSG-1 team has made a swap to Kawasaki power for 2005, and ran their new two-man riding line up of Chris Walker and Mauro Sanchini on their ZX-10 machines. I'm not sure if Chili will ride on the PSG-1 team not not. More to follow on this for sure.

Work Update

On Friday Scott and I finished the E6 ISMP (In Service Maintenance Planning) Web Application. This application had more post-production work than any other app. This led to the feeling that we would never release it.

Well, it's done ... finally.

We're taking this short week to re-group and plan the next big project. Hopefully we can come back on Monday and write some great new code. It feels great to move on to a new project.

Work

Peter Gibbons : So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.
Dr. Swanson : What about today? Is today the worst day of your life?
Peter Gibbons : Yeah.
Dr. Swanson : Wow, that's messed up.

Changes for The Screen Savers on G4 Tech TV

It looks like there will be some changes The Screen Savers on G4 Techtv. Alex, Dan, Yoshi, and several behind the scene producers will no longer be on the show.

According to Kevin Rose the show will be refocused have more tech content. Although I'm sad to see Dan and Yoshi leave the show. I'm looking forward to the show returning to it's Tech roots. I really miss the old Patrick Norton TechTV days.

All I want for Christmas is new socks

Apple iPod Socks

"Dress your iPod up in any one of six vibrant color socks (green, purple, grey, blue, orange, and pink). This set of knit socks provides a stylish, fun, and practical way to protect your iPod. Fits all iPods.

So add a dash of color to your iPod with iPod Socks, the year's coziest and most vibrant iPod accessory.

It doesn't matter which iPod model you have because iPod Socks fit all of them. And it doesn't matter what your mood is because each iPod Socks package includes six bright colors so you can pick the one that feels best.

Forgive us if we're stating the obvious, but here's how it works: Just slide your iPod into the sock to keep it safe and warm. Slide it out to dock or change playlists. It's as easy as... putting on a pair of socks."

The pack of six is $29.00 from apple.com

OKC

In a few minutes I'm going to leave for the airport. My flight to OKC is at 10:30, and I'll arrive in there at 3:00 pm local time. These trips are never easy, but I'm optimistic that things will go well and I'll end up having a good time. The main reason for this trip is to meet with the new E6-EBM IPT and work out the technical and funding issues for the new delivery order. That will happen tomorrow. I'll fly home on Wednesday.

For some reason trips to OKC are almost always preceded by a UTA weekend with the Florida Air National Guard. This weekend was exhausting. We had two formations, our annual awards and retirements and a change of command. Both are layered in so much formally and redundancy it's like watching paint dry. Oh well.

I'm staying at the Westin Hotel. I usually have internet access there, so expect more later.
