I'm finally switching to comcast highspeed internet

I've been thinking about it for a while, but now that comcast increased the bandwidth, I'm finally making the switch from DSL to Cable. For $55.00 / month I'm getting 8 Mbps down and 768 Kbps up. It's getting installed on Thursday, September 8th.

We just spent our first night in the cabin in the smoky mountains. Last night we left the windows open and listened to the creek and waterfall. It was very relaxing.

On Tuesday at lunch Scott and I decided to take the boat out. So at 1:00 pm we left for the afternoon. I had a great time I've never seen downtown Jacksonville from the river before. Plus it was a great chance to play with my new canon rebel xt.

Flickr on Movabletype

I just installed the flickr plugin for movabletype. You can see my flickr photo sets here. It was pretty simple to do. I uploaded the pl files to my plugins directory. Did a chmod 755 on the plugin directory, and the created an index template in movabletype. To make the photo.html template I copied my index.html template and then replaced the blog entries part with the following code:

New Format

You've probably noticed by now the new layout of my blog. I recently moved my website to dreamhost from readysetconnect. When I uploaded my blog to dreamhost, I was unable to login to my blog. I think this was because the version of the Berkeley DB library was different.

Think I could have updated my db files or got with dreamhost, but instead I decided to download the movabletype files and start over from scratch.

I imported my txt backup I made on the old host, and I was up and running in 20 minutes. All of the catagories and entries imported flawlessly. The only thing I lost was the templates. I'm still in the process of tweaking the sitestyle. I should have something up this weekend.

Update: I ended up upgrading my db anyway. I found the solution on dreamhosts forums.

Here's the solution:

You need to telnet in to your site. Change directory to get inside your MT database directory.

Then run this command:

db4.3_upgrade *.db *.idx
